HOW TO DESIGN AN AWESOME KNIFE

"This is amazing."

I proudly boast about such words now, for it is the result of years of training and temptation and countless mistakes. But I did not always have a cool baby. I still think of my first training years with Barry and some of my first creative efforts. The word "unusual" comes to mind. I get some of my old patterns from time to time and wonder what I think, and why no one can stand. It's really scary.

But that's the kind of design that I think, the more information and the information you have, the better it will eventually be. While I had the ability to work with customers around the world in creating beautiful, effective designs, there was really a great turn of learning, when I made a mistake in the book.

So what are the main components that every knife should ask? Exit your seat closer and I will share a few secrets read from two technical teachers: Time and Experience.
How do I get started?
I usually like to start at the end and go back. Even so, I think of what I want to make the design done very well. Do I want a decorative handmade damascus hunting knives to be used for small daily tasks, salty field knives that can handle difficult tasks such as extinguisher wood, or Elk's scarf skin? All these applications require a variety of designs and designs, so it is best to have the idea of what will be done, or at least its intended purpose.
Put it on paper.
I hate to disappoint any person who will not be "currently" to me, but if I want to get a vision from my head and come into the real world I use a beautiful graph paper and pencil patterns. It's easy, I can easily straighten the lines and get a good idea of how things look fairly. Sorry if I let you down, but I'm not the biggest fan of computers. Technology also was attacking me. It was one step away from our different ways, but we still speak sometimes to "hold". Usually with cat videos.
The reward. Repeat.
Now that your spiffy design is completely organized and all lines and cover the way you want it, we need to make a pattern. So we now convey a drawing over something that is compulsory and stronger than the paper. (Also, make copies first. Unless you learn about technology.) Choose simple things to work, such as small or small steel, or even wood. You recently conveyed the design to this feature so you can install the profile true to make, and make changes. You can also cut the paper out and stick to the pattern of the glue, or track your chocolate with a black pen.
Usually, in this section you notice that the knife does not fit exactly, the guard is too small, the handle is too narrow, etc. Use this grinder and continue to adjust until you are perfect. You know that you hit the "knife" when you hold the pattern in your hand and feel like the extension of your hand.
Sometimes you may need to return to the drawing board (literally) to make the changes needed, then try again. Do not be surprised, even if you have to walk away from the design and return to it in a few days with new eyes. Part of the procedure, and eventually pay for a well-made, visualized knife. "Only one error is where we can not find it." - Henry Ford
